Obituary

Two unrelated photos, welded into one eternal argument: a woman pointing angrily at a confused white cat sitting at a dinner table. The woman was from a reality TV show; the cat, Smudge, was just a cat who did not like vegetables. Together they explained every disagreement on earth. They died separately, as all couples do — the woman into obscurity, and Smudge into a book deal and a quiet retirement from the internet.
