Obituary

Philosoraptor was a drawing of a velociraptor in a thinking pose, chin resting on claw, pondering the deep questions: 'If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If a raptor is in my house, does that make it my house?' It was the intellectual wing of the rage-comic family, the one who went to college and came back insufferable. It died in 2012, not because the questions stopped being funny, but because every question had been asked. The raptor achieved what it sought: it ran out of things to think about, and became truly wise.
