Obituary

Leonardo DiCaprio Cheers was a GIF of DiCaprio raising a glass mid-toast with the smug confidence of a man who has just won everything, and the internet used it to celebrate victories both real and imagined. It was the reaction to acing a test you studied for, or watching your rival fail publicly, or simply being right. It was smug, it was joyful, and it was absolutely without shame. It died in 2016, replaced by a thousand smaller toasts, but it remains the gold standard of 'I told you so.' Somewhere, a glass is still being raised.
