Confused Nick Young was a still from an interview with NBA player Nick Young, his face crumpled into the universal expression of 'wait, what?', floating over a graphic of a giant red question mark. It was the internet's official reaction to any claim that made no sense: 'My roommate says he doesn't smell it.' 'The ad says free but asks for a card.' Young took the fame with good humor, even printing the face on his own merchandise. The meme died in 2018, replaced by fresher confused faces, but for two years it was the single most reliable 'huh?' in the English-speaking internet.
