Ight, Imma Head Out was a screenshot of SpongeBob standing up from his chair, hat in hand, mid-sentence, the words 'ight imma head out' scrawled beside him — the definitive expression of a graceful exit from an increasingly bad situation. It was deployed at awkward family dinners, bad meetings, and every conversation that had crossed the line from tolerable to unbearable. It died in 2020, when the world became one long bad meeting and the meme lost its novelty by becoming our daily life. SpongeBob stood up, put on his hat, and walked out of the frame for good. We all know how he felt.
