Obituary

Edvard Munch's 1893 portrait of a person having a normal one became the internet's default reaction to Mondays, mild inconvenience, and group-project group chats. Every caption was applied, every template exhausted, until the scream stopped sounding like alarm and started sounding like background noise. It died the way most reaction memes die: not from overuse, but from becoming the default setting.
