Obituary

Grant Wood's pitchfork-wielding couple was photoshopped into every conceivable setting — space, the apocalypse, the Krusty Krab — until the only thing left to parody was the parody. It was the rare meme whose subjects were two people who never asked to be famous, standing in front of a house that never asked to be a meme. All three died of exposure.
