At the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner — crowning Miss Colombia, letting her take a full victory lap with crown and tears, and then returning minutes later to take it back and hand it to Miss Philippines. It was the most perfectly timed disaster in pageant history, and the internet did what it does with perfect disasters: it made it a holiday. 'Steve Harvey reading the wrong card' joined the pantheon of sports-bloopers-as-institutions. The real Miss Colombia went on to an acting career. The meme went to its grave in a month, spent entirely.
