Gangnam Style was the first video to break YouTube's view counter, the first to pass one billion views, and the first to prove that a Korean pop star could outrun the entire internet. PSY's horse-riding dance was performed by everyone: the UN, the military, at least one pope impersonator. It died in 2014, not because anyone stopped liking it, but because it became the floor, and the floor cannot keep breaking records. It remains the only meme in this cemetery to have been performed by the UN Secretary-General.
