The Tide Pod was a laundry detergent capsule that looked like candy and, for reasons that will confuse historians for centuries, an entire generation decided to eat. The meme died in 2018 after poison control centers, Tide's parent company, and the FDA all begged it to stop. It did not stop because it was fun; it stopped because of the hospital visits. It remains the only meme in this cemetery to have been clinically diagnosed.
