Big Chungus was a frame of Bugs Bunny from a 1941 cartoon, rotund and triumphant, captioned with a name that sounds like a legal disclaimer: 'Big Chungus.' It was born on a meme-dedicated subreddit in 2018 and became one of the most beloved jokes of its era — a fat cartoon rabbit whose sheer bulk was the punchline, and whose name the internet chanted like a prayer. It peaked when the official Bugs Bunny Twitter account acknowledged him, then died in 2021 when the joke ran out of new ways to say 'big.' He remains the roundest resident of this cemetery, and the only one who is legally a Warner Bros. property.
